EnerTech Capital, INO announce strategic partnership
Canadian Venture Capital fund EnerTech Capital has announced a new partnership with Quebec City’s National Optics Institute (INO), a developer of industrial options and photonics solutions. The strategic partnership between EnerTech and INO will allow them to share knowledge and explore new commercialization strategies for technologies in the energy space.
EnerTech Managing Director Wally Hunter says the firm is excited to partner with INO. “INO is a leader in developing new and innovative optics/photonic technologies, many of which have significant applications in the Energy sector. With the growing demand to both monitor and control assets in field along with the proliferation of the Internet of Things, we believe that optics and photonics will become a critical component in the market.”
Hunter says EnerTech’s strategic collaboration with INO will lead to many opportunities for partnerships with its existing portfolio companies and potential new investment and spin-out opportunities. It will also provide them with access to proprietary knowledge in the nexus between optics and the Energy space.
INO is joined by several other EnerTech Strategic Partners & LP’s which include; Newalta, Hatch, Waste Management, ENGIE, IREQ (Hydro Quebec), Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas) and Sacramento Municipal Utility district (SMUD).
